Recent technological change has transformed almost every part of life.
Today, technology influences our relationships, decisions, desires and
the way we experience reality. In almost every sector people list ‘emerging
technology’ among the most pressing ethical challenges they face. The explosion of new technologies has led the World Economic Forum to define our current era as part of the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’. They’re right to say we’re living in a revolutionary age, but is it a good thing or not? Revolutions can be opportunities for growth, but they can also open the floodgates to disaster.
