Listening to each and every member of the delegation as they summed up their key learnings from the past ten days on the road, the stand out conclusion was how far we had come.

James Carey, Director City Future, City of Canterbury-Bankstown

Their language had changed as unfamiliar acronyms and terms infiltrated their everyday lexicon. Bonds had formed based on mutual respect, trust and a recognition that each brought something special to the conversation.

Delegates summarise their key takeaways from the past 10 days

While all the insights, knowledge and contacts from the Exchange will be complied into a Smart Cities Report the intangible human relationship benefits of the journey was a stark reminder that people are at the very heart of every smart city.

Mayor Khal Asfour, City of Canterbury-Bankstown

Stay tuned for our Smart Cities Report with special insights from our smart delegation.
